Autumn. One of my favourite seasons of the year, and an ideal time for a wedding.
In the other gardens
And all up the vale,
From the autumn bonfires
See the smoke trail!
Pleasant summer over
And all the summer flowers,
The red fire blazes,
The grey smoke towers.
Sing a song of seasons!
Something bright in all!
Flowers in the summer,
Fires in the fall!
“Autumn Fires” by Robert Louis Stevenson
There are far too many poems and passages written which describe Autumn with a heavy melancholy as though the end of Summer is the end of the world.
I whole-heartedly disagree. Autumn is one of the most magical seasons of the year. Robert Louis Stevenson speaks of “Autumn Fires.” As well as actual fires, the colours of nature burn at this time of year : oranges, golds, deep greens, browns. In my eyes Autumn is one of the most magical seasons to plan a wedding.

One shade that screams Autumn is a fiery burnt orange. If you’re thinking of incorporating this into your theme you will be pleased to know that the most elegant of flowers, the calla lily, is available in stunning burnt orange hues. [...]
