Let’s take you straight to one of my cartoon heroes for inspiration for all that’s pink.

In his words …. thiiiiiiiiink pink.
Yes, this is a hunt for all things pink.
Brides. Without reverting too much to gender stereotypes, if you are the one driving a pink palette preference please double check that your Groom is comfortable with it. Metrosexual dressing has been around for years now but if your fella ain’t comfortable at the thought of a pink tie consider how you can reduce the rose.
To help you on your way, inspiration is hunted below.
Brides, unless you find yourself inspired by Katie Price and/or My Big Fat Gypsy wedding, you may not want to wear a vibrant pink dress. That’s not to say you couldn’t sneak some pink into your attire.
You could sneak pink shoes under your wedding dress // via Tumblr
Or keep it even more subtle with a pink shade of nail varnish, in this case funked up with some gold // image here
Pink Wedding Inspiration : Flowers
When it comes to flowers you have no shortage of choice in the pink spectrum.
Pink gerberas are fun full-headed flowers that can be kept on their own of combined with others // via Stec Photo

If you choose pink roses you’ll also find a huge variety of hue. The quintessentially elegant choice is a dusky pink rose. A ball of them together is all you need for a bouquet // via Tumblr
For a more saturated look choose a medley of pink, white and coral tipped roses wrapped in ivory satin // via Tumblr
Another beloved flower choice is the Peony.
The results are stunning whether you go for a single pale pink peony // via Tumblr …
… or a bunch of warm coral peonies // via Harpers Bazaar

Finally, if you like more drama in your bouquet include trailing pink amaranthus to give sweeping movement // via Elizabeth Anne Designs
Your choice of decor will be dependent not only on the shade of pink you’ve gone for, but also the location and theme of your day overall.
If you’ve got outdoor elements to your day, you could jazz up pain chairs by pink chair ties, inspired by these vivid pink ones from True Expression Photography. If your wedding includes an outdoor path and your florist has a few thousand spare flower petals and some giant vases you could replicate the look above. It’s astonishing work, if perhaps not practical for every couple [ image : here ].
When it comes to table decor, if you’re at the subtler end of the spectrum take infleunce from the combination of natural dusky tones and wood of the beach setting [ image : here ].
Or, if you’re having a Winter wedding, use pink as a brightener. The mixture of natural hessian, vibrant pink and a fircone placeholder is highly complementary [ image : here ]
If you want decor with a strong accent of pink, go the whole hog and have the table cloth a bright shade. In the afternoon tea scene above it’s complemented by vintage china, pale pink roses and pastel pink water tumblrs [ image : here ].
Finally, if you have a rustic, country vibe or bohemian feel to your day take turqouise tinted or clear mason jars and insert your blooms. Again, the combination of white with the pink brings a soft wistful quality to the shade [ images : here and here ]
Where the fun really kicks in, is when you get to planning food and drink.
Welcome your guests with a pink cocktail, like this refreshing looking one above [ recipe found here ].
Combine your pink favours with place cards, escort style, as per this French macarons idea. Macarons are also absolutely ridiculously delicious [ image : here ].
Can you have a pink wedding cake? Of course you can. And if you want yours in light waves, you can count on Martha Stewart to show you how to make it. Or, you can just have a load of cake pops in a variety of pink decorative forms [ image : here ]. You could also whip up some fruit-topped, pink-iced cupcakes like these ones here to treat your guests.
Pink Wedding Inspiration : you have been hunted
To quote the feisty lady of pop, Pink – “I was starting not to like the colour anymore, but now I have a reason to love it again.”
Amen Pink. Amen.
Are there any pink images that stand out for you above?
Or is it too girly / My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding for your tastes?

Pink is my signature color. The hot pink shoes absolutely rock my world! I wish I had thought of that when I got married. Great post!
Posted by Let it be Lovely | February 26, 2012, 10:04 pmI keep coming across ideas that I wish I’d discovered before my wedding too … oh well I guess I’m just paying it forward for another couple to enjoy! – thanks for the comment – did you have a pink palette for your wedding ?
Posted by theweddinghunter | February 27, 2012, 12:23 pmYou bet! Of course, I was very young and it was almost ten years ago, so weddings were still quite traditional. I wish so much I had been more brave. I had just one attendant and she wore a rosey pink gown. Isn’t it funny how we grow in to our own style as we get older?
